Its like being trapped in a glass box all you can do is observe but when it comes to being able to participate there’s a wall in the way. I’ve always wondered what its like for those outside of the glass do they look at me like I’m on display, wondering how I’m able to imitate but not fully participate. Questioning the reason for why I’m in the box in the first place or is the reason so obvious there is no question? Do they even see the box or do they wonder why I act the way I do with out understanding that there is a box?

I stand there feeling both empowered by what separates me from them and yet feel lonely for being separated.  I watch and understand the implications of how people interact with each other yet can’t fully participate in the process due to my limitation. Through watching I gain deep insight into social situations yet no understanding as to how I interact with those situations.

Was I really designed this way by a higher power with no way of removing the box and only ever learning to cope or is the box a self imposed limitation that can be removed if I just take the right steps? All I know is that it’s frustrating looking out from the inside.

So here’s a question why is that we use the phrase “I was born ready?” Here’s the thing I’m pretty sure that unless you just used that phrase in reference to being a complete baby in adulthood, that in fact you were not born ready.

Man says to boy “When where you born?” Boy say “February 28th 1985.” Man say “wow you where one day away from being born on February 29th.” Boy says “I guess.” Boy grows up a little learns that leap year was 1984. Another Man comes along ask “when where you born?” Boy says “February 28th 1985.” Man says ” Wow, You where one day away from being born on February 29th.” Boy says “Yeah if your an idiot” Man says “What?”
